This course is designed for scaffolding supervisors, managers, and contract managers responsible for planning and overseeing scaffolding activities associated with licensed asbestos removal projects. Based on HSG247 guidance and industry best practice, the training provides the knowledge required to manage ancillary scaffolding operations safely, ensure legal compliance, and coordinate effectively with licensed asbestos contractors.
The course covers:
Management responsibilities and legal duties
Asbestos legislation and licensing requirements
Planning and supervising scaffolding works within asbestos-controlled areas
Risk assessments, method statements, and permit systems
Coordination with licensed asbestos contractors and clients
PPE, RPE, and decontamination requirements
Monitoring compliance and site standards
Emergency procedures and incident management
Workforce competence, training, and supervision
Record keeping, audits, and quality assurance
